RESIST AND REACT
RESIST AND REACT is an ongoing project with no set completion date. I make portraits of people I know and people I meet in the course of an ordinary day.
There is no plan for how it happens and no defined goal. There is only a willingness to connect with someone by making them a free portrait, and a curiosity about where that collaboration goes.
It is a record of interaction, a creative exchange of joy and potential. Each portrait carries a layer of the one before it, which means that by proxy everybody in the project is connected to everybody else.
The artworks are not for sale. They function as acts of appreciation, and as springboards for whatever comes next.
SFVFS
SFVFS — in full, SEED / FORM / VOID / FORM / SEED — is a concept of the creative process, drawn from the structure and geometry I recognised in Leake Street, the legal graffiti tunnel beneath Waterloo Station that Banksy made famous with the Cans Festival in 2008.

Keep an open mind and a healthy sceptical anchor when working with AI. The outcomes have been genuinely intriguing, and these portraits would not exist without that work.
Just as murals in Leake Street form, exist, and are covered over by the next layer of paint, RESIST AND REACT is an attempt to recreate something of that anarchic, never-ending energy. A project with no sell-by date, though at some point the input of energy simply stops, and the thing itself becomes something else.
RESIST CREATES FRICTION. FRICTION CREATES REACTION. REACTION CREATES ART.
